Welcome to Café des Arts, a charming little café nestled in the heart of Annecy, France. Located at 4 Passage de l'Isle, this inviting spot stands just a stone's throw away from the historical center of the city, making it a perfect retreat for locals and visitors alike. As you step inside, you're greeted by a warm ambiance, animated by the creativity that adorns its walls.
The café prides itself on its diverse offerings, from freshly made croissants to a selection of fine beers and delicious soup. One guest, Βάλια Γεωργάρα, highlights the delightful fresh vegetable soup paired perfectly with a slice of cheese and a bounty of toasted bread. This exemplifies the commitment to serving high-quality, rustic fare that brings comfort to your palate.
Café des Arts doesn't just serve food; it serves an experience. The large terrace is a favored gathering spot during the afternoon, as noted by g b, who enjoyed the cheerful atmosphere and attentive staff, especially when the umbrellas come down. The lively energy here invites you to relax and take in the sights of the bustling streets.
The artwork that decorates the café contributes a unique flair to your visit. As noted by Olivia Ouellet, the combination of visually striking art and the lovely atmosphere enhances the overall dining experience. Pairing this with a cappuccino adds a touch of leisurely indulgence, though it’s worth noting that expectations for the coffee might not soar to extraordinary heights.
What truly sets Café des Arts apart is its sense of community. Neil aptly described it as “a gem in Annecy Old Town,” where you can find an impressive beer selection that pleases both connoisseurs and casual drinkers. The platters of meats and cheeses tantalize the eyes, promising delights for your taste buds, should you opt for a snack. And don’t forget to get on the waiting list for those coveted outside tables!
As Valdrin Ahmeti warmly states, the café is the most welcoming bar in town. With reasonable prices and superb coffee, it’s a spot worth revisiting. So whether it’s a quiet morning, a leisurely afternoon, or a cozy evening, Café des Arts offers a piece of Annecy where you can savor life, sip some artisanal brews, and indulge in delightful dishes. Don’t miss out on this blend of culinary excellence and artistic expression that truly encapsulates the spirit of the city.

Small cafe near to the historical center of Annecy. Offered fresh vegetable soup with a very tasty cheese on the side and many toasted slices of bread! Would definitely recommend again

Nice cafe. Good beers. Smiley staff. Afternoon is better, when they close the umbrellas.

Service and ambiance is really nice! The location is perfect and there’s a big terrace with tons of places to sit. The artwork that surround the cafe is impressive and adds a lot of character to the space. I ordered a croissant and cappuccino. The food was ok, the cappuccino was nothing exceptional but not bad.

A gem of a bar in Annecy Old Town. I really liked the beer selection here, lots of choice and all tasted good to me. Didn't try the meat or cheese platters but they looked good when they came out. Be aware that outside tables are at a premium, ask the bar staff to go on the waiting list when you arrive and be prepared to sit inside to begin with. A lovely local's place, highly recommended.

Such a local gem in the heart of Mens, filled with locals and tourists. Best thing is the super nice waitress and them serving food at 2:30pm! Food was delicious as well, if you come on a sunny day, definitely sit outside and it is a truly amazing experience. There is parking just over the cafe and it's a nice little scroll around the old town after lunch.

Very cosy spot nested in the old town of Annecy. Gorgeous place to have a morning coffee with a croissant and feel the French atmosphere. Bring a book and sip your coffee for an hour!
